Membership
MEMO TO CURRENT AND FORMER MEMBERS
The Finnish Center's fiscal year ends in September. Dues payments for 2027 will be accepted
at the Summer Festival on June 28th, giving 15 months of membership to people who join for
the first time and former members with expired cards . Its also a good time for current members
to make early renewals to insure being paid up before the annual meeting in October.
I just looked at an old list and saw names that are missing this year.... It would be great to have them
back on our member list again as continuing members and contributors. We are extremely grateful
for the many members, new and old, who support Saima Park, suggest new ideas, pledge to serve
as volunteers during day-to day operations and help with necessary maintenance.
Kesäjuhla on Sunday, 28 June, 2026 is being celebrated for the 100th time here at the Finnish Center.
Come to Saima Park to be part of it. Join now, celebrate with us and see the great changes that are
contributing to the preservation and survival of Finnish values and traditions.

But no glassware, clothing, or furniture. Please bring items to the March 28 breakfast, or contact finnishcenter@yahoo.com or 978-407-9690 (text or voicemail). Sauna Week Fun
By Jane Potsaid
At the recent February Saima Park breakfast we recognized and celebrated sauna week along with Finns in Finland and across the United States by a scavenger hunt to our sauna which many people had not seen. People checked off interesting places and artifacts on the walk to and in the sauna. The hunt for items then continued to the library where more items could be found. Participants were surprised there were so many interesting things to see and history to learn. We plan to repeat the activity when it's a nice warm day. Scrub up!
