Function Hall

Our heated and air-conditioned Function Hall has been the location of a wide variety of events: wedding receptions, birthdays, baby and bridal showers, celebrations of life, “sweet sixteen” parties, business meetings, etc. A carpeted area with 12 five-foot round tables surrounds a wooden “dance” floor. Each table can comfortably seat eight people, or roughly 100 people in total. Several 6- and 8-foot rectangular tables and additional chairs are available for additional seating. Charis can also be set up in rows on the wooden floor in an auditorium/theater style. A pull-down screen is located at the end of the hall for slide, PowerPoint of video projections. The renter provides their own laptop, projector, and/or sound system. The use of a well-equipped kitchen with a double oven, 10 stove-top burners, a refrigerator, pots/pans, utensils, and a large “prep” island is included in the rental fee.

The rental fee is $600.00 for the weekend day, or $300.00 for the week day, which can start as early as 8:00 am for “set up” or decorating. The hours and duration of the event are determined by the renter.

Ravintola and Sirkka Liukkonen Memorial Pavillion

The 4,000 square foot open-sided pavilion covers a concrete floor with 30 picnic tables, enough to accommodate large events with many participants. Roughly 80 additional folding chairs are available for use under the pavilion. Overhead lights illuminate the floor and five outlets spaces around the perimeter provide power for a sound system or other electrical needs. A large adjoining lawn can be used for games, a bouncy house, a wedding, etc. Outdoor bathrooms in a small separate building are a few steps away. The use of an enclosed adjacent building is included in the rental. It has seating for roughly 80 people if the weather is uncooperative, or if indoor seating is desired. The building does not have a kitchen but it does have a long, wide serving counter with multiple outlets for plugging in Crock-pots or other electric food warmers. It has a sink with hot and cold water. Three refrigerators are available. Also available are a large movable propane griddle and a backyard-type grill either of which can be moved to a desired location. The renter supplies their own propane.

The rental fee is $800.00 for the weekend day, or $400.00 for the week day, which can start as early as 8:00 am for “set-up” or decorating. The hours and duration of the event are determined by the renter.

The Finnish Memorial Field

Designed as a traditional track & field facility, this area has a 352 meter stone dust track and inner grassed field. A small officials pavilion is located alongside the track. Although this area is normally off limits to renters, we will be glad to arrange a special rental of these grounds if the use is consistent with similar athletic activities. Contact the rental agent for more information.
