FinnFunn 2017 / Finland 100

Save the date! Join us this summer from August 18th to the 20th at the FinnFunn 2017/Finland 100 Weekend!  The celebration is just months away and the Planning Committee is busy at work creating a 3-day weekend filled with activities!  This is your time to help us celebrate FinnFunn 2017, the 25th consecutive weekend where you can visit with friends, make new ones and celebrate your Finnish connection.  This year is made even more special because 2017 is Finland’s centennial year marking 100 years of independence.

So mark your calendars for this exciting 3-day event that will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel in Leominster, MA.

  • See “Sisu”, Finland 100’s Traveling Sauna Mascot.  Already circling the United States, “Sisu” will make a special appearance at the Weekend.
  • Shop our Tori (Nordic Marketplace).  Filled with Scandinavian inspired treats, our vendors are sure to tempt you to treat yourself or someone you know.

  • Lectures by Sharon Franklin-Rahkonen, a Finlandia Foundation Centenary Lecturer,  Susan Navarre, Executive Director of the Fitchburg Historical Society and more

  • Art exhibit “Finnish Americans Together for Finland 100” at the Fitchburg Art Museum

Include FinnFunn 2017/Finland100 in your vacation plans!  Massachusetts offers tourists and residents lots of places of interest to visit and activities to sample.  The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel is a full-service facility conveniently located in North Central Massachusetts, just off Rte 2, a major highway.
