The Thanksgiving dinner was held on
November 18th. The food this year was all home cooked, prepared
from fresh or frozen ingredients. The Board agreed that
"real" home-cooked food would taste the best - and only the
best is good enough for this event. All the food was prepared
either in the Saima kitchen, or in the kitchens of the individual Saima
Directors. The Board had great help from their respective spouses
in all the preparation work, during the serving of the meal and after,
during clean-up.
We have received a lot of positive feed back about
this event and the food, which encourages us to try to make it even
better for Thanksgiving 2002! Make sure you mark your calendars
for the next Thanksgiving dinner - I dare to say that you will not find
a better meal anywhere else!
Below, you can find pictures from the event.
If you click on the individual images you can see a larger version of
the picture. Unfortunately, we don't have pictures of all the
people who made this possible, or of all the satisfied dinner guests.
The pictures are taken (and copyright) by Jim Daley, and used with his
