Fall
Tori
at Saima Park in
Fitchburg, MA on September 8th could not have had better luck
with this day! It was a
great event regardless from which angle you wanted to look at it.
The weather was more summer like than fall like.
Young or young-at-heart, the great selection of wares offered by
both near and far vendors, artisans, artists and bakers had something to
offer all visitors. |

Finnish folk music filled the
outdoor pavilion while people browsed for
sweaters, porcelain and glassware – or why not something to satisfy
the sweet tooth? |
 |

Even
small accordion players made great music! |

Inside the
Ravintola, the sales of food and refreshments was brisk all day –
the hot dogs, beef stew, coffee and pulla disappeared quickly.
A tasty treat was the
Arctic Sundae – vanilla icecream topped with Lingonberry preserve or
Cloudberry preserve – or why not both?
No
fall market is complete without some animals for the young ones to look
at and pat – we had a goat and some really cute pigs for the kids to
fawn over.

The
organizers and people who worked the Fall Tori want to thank everyone
who participated or visited Saima Park that day – we had great fun and
it was very rewarding to see that people really enjoyed themselves.
