"KAARELA"

1400 Meter Sprint Medley Relay

Relay races for both men's and women's teams

4 person teams

Distances: 350, 175, 175 and 700 meters

Entry Fee: $12.00 per four (4) person team

This event is open to Pickup Teams, High Scholl Teams, Running Club Teams, etc.

AWARDS: Fashionable Acrylic trophies to both the men's and women's winning team members, and silver and bronze medals to 2nd and 3rd place members.

The relay races will be the final running events of the day.

The relay races are dedicated to Edwin E. Kaarela, a former relay racer.  Mr. Kaarela is also a strong supporter of the Finnish Center at Saima PArk as well as the Finnish community in the Fitchburg area.
